The future of South African football took centre stage on Saturday, 03 January 2026, as the Philly’s Games Junior Finals delivered drama, passion, and unforgettable moments in Tembisa. From last-minute goals to nerve-wracking penalty shootouts, the day belonged to the next generation of stars.

U/13 FINAL

Khataza vs Gauteng Santos

The U/13 final exploded into life early.

  • 2’ GOAL – Gauteng Santos: Vhuhlare Sambu tapped in to give Santos a dream start.

  • 20’ GOAL – Gauteng Santos: Thato Aphane doubled the lead with a powerful finish.

  • 23’ GOAL – Khataza: Prince Batabaire sparked the comeback.

  • 24’ GOAL – Khataza: Canaan Njobeh made it two in two minutes.

At full-time, it was Khataza 2–2 Gauteng Santos, setting up a tense penalty shootout.
Gauteng Santos held their nerve, winning 3–2 on penalties to be crowned Philly’s Games U/13 Champions.

U/15 FINAL

Bollox FC vs Dribbling Wizards

The Dribbling Wizards were clinical and composed.

  • 14’ GOAL – Wizards: Leonard “General” Jele opened the scoring.

From there, the Wizards took full control, dominating proceedings to secure a 3–0 victory at full-time.
Dribbling Wizards were deservedly crowned Philly’s Games U/15 Champions after a commanding final performance.

U/17 FINAL

FC Legend vs JHB Elite

A tightly contested final saw both teams cancel each other out in regulation time.

  • Full-Time: FC Legend 0–0 JHB Elite

With no goals to separate them, the championship was decided from the spot.
JHB Elite showed composure and confidence, winning 4–1 on penalties to lift the Philly’s Games U/17 Championship trophy.
